Judd Robertson

Mental Health & Addiction Specialist

Hello, my name is Judd Robertson. I have over 15 years of clinical experience working with children, youth and their families. I have dedicated my career to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by mental health challenges addiction. My love of animals led me to complete the Child-Centred Animal-Assisted Therapy program where I received hands on experienced working with dogs, horses and other animals.

Throughout my career I have focused on creating positive, lasting change with the people i have worked with. I have expertise in a wide range of therapeutic techniques and interventions, with a special focus on integrating animal-assisted therapy into mental health and addiction treatment. This unique, trauma-informed approach allows clients to develop trust, build emotional resilience, and engage more fully in the therapeutic process.

Throughout my career, I have worked in various clinical settings, including treatment centers, and community mental health organizations. My diverse experience has given me a well-rounded perspective on the complexities of mental health and addiction recovery.

I am passionate about empowering clients to overcome challenges, break cycles of addiction, and develop coping strategies that lead to long-term healing. My compassionate, client-centered approach emphasizes collaboration, personal growth, and the belief that recovery is a journey that can be supported by animals, human connection, and a caring professional.

Taking that initial step to seek help is a significant step on your life journey. Healing is never linear, and I am here to meet you at whatever point you might be. You are the expert in your life, and I will individualize the support you seek, building off your current strengths and resilience.

Udynamics

I understand that talking about mental health can be challenging, but sharing your experiences can be incredibly liberating and healing. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or simply need someone to listen, I am here for you. It’s okay to feel vulnerable, and seeking support is a sign of strength, not weakness.

I took my training to become an integrative nutrition health coach because I wanted to be more connected with how my own body worked a functioned. I was used to being sick every 10-14 days with a cold or a flu and I wanted to learn how to build my immune system and my digestion. Every few months I would get an eczema flare up, acne or something skin-wise that was already ‘remedied’ with a steroid cream. This never solved any issue and months later it would pop up on another patch of skin. There wasn’t any problem-solving and only surface solutions.
